These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the ZenSplit mobile application (the "Application"), operated by Shilpa Kapa ("Service Provider", "we", "us", or "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the Application, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Application.
You must be at least 16 years of age to use this Application. By using the Application, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement. If you are using the Application on behalf of any entity, you further represent and warrant that you are authorised to accept these Terms on that entity's behalf.
ZenSplit is an expense-tracking and splitting application that allows users to record, split, and manage shared expenses within groups. The Application is provided as a free service. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the service (or any part thereof) at any time with or without notice.
ZenSplit is not a financial service. The Application helps you track and record expenses — it does not hold, transfer, or process real money. Any settlements between users occur entirely outside of the Application at the users' discretion.
You must sign in using a valid Google account to use the Application. You are responsible for:
Notify us immediately at admin@zensplit.app if you suspect any unauthorised use of your account.
You retain ownership of all content you create within the Application (including group names, expense descriptions, and amounts). By using the Application, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store and display your content solely to provide the service to you and the members of your groups.
You agree not to submit content that is unlawful, fraudulent, defamatory, or that infringes any third-party rights.

Your use of the Application is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please read it carefully to understand how we collect and use your information.
The Application is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that:
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Service Provider shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of income, or financial loss, arising from your use of — or inability to use — the Application, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
The Application relies on third-party services including Google Sign-In, Supabase, and Firebase. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of these third parties.
We may terminate or suspend your access to the Application at any time, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Application ceases immediately. You may delete your account at any time from within the Application. Upon account deletion, your data is removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Application after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India.
